Our Journey: The Interchange Story

As we blow out the candles on Interchange’s 10th year, it’s got us feeling sentimental. Who doesn’t love a trip down memory lane…

Our story begins in 2014, when founder and managing director Gabrielle ‘Gabe’ Harris set out to build a business that would bring something new and exciting to the world of workplace culture, behaviour and performance.

Gabe had spent 14 years working for consultancies preoccupied with systems and technical efficiencies but she saw the issues differently. Gabe believed the elixir was to focus on the human side of change so she made the decision to go out on her own with a vision to bring empathy, creativity and genuine consultation to achieve the cultural transformation needed for an organisation to deliver on its strategic outcomes.

Gabe’s passion for doing things differently has remained at the heart of Interchange as both a business and an employer. We actively seek people to join our team who, like Gabe, think outside the box. We encourage curiosity, courage and conviction. We listen, we observe and we consult.

Today, we have grown into a diverse team of specialist consultants, psychologists, creatives, strategists, producers and facilitators, with an extended network of reliable project team members on call to ensure supply always meets demand.

We’re proud of our eccentricity and our diversity of views. It is this combined ingenuity that has added immersive simulations, custom-made films, curated learning environments and an innovative edge to our change management approach.

As a team, we’re a high-octane force skilled at transforming evidence and insights into compelling and inventive strategies to bring out the best in your people and your organisation.
